01 · Saturday, 6 March — Arrival & first impressions
Private car from the airport. Settle in, explore the grounds, pool time and a relaxed welcome dinner under the stars.
02 · Sunday, 7 March — Medina & the palace ruins
Guided Medina tour, private riad lunch, and a walk through the historic palace ruins — gathering colour and texture for the studio.
03 · Monday, 8 March — Atlas Mountains — full day
A full day into the Atlas Mountains or Agafay Desert with sketchbooks. Dramatic landscape, Berber villages, extraordinary light.
04 · Tuesday, 9 March — Studio day & optional city wander
A slower day — gelli printing and collage at the villa, pool time, optional afternoon into Marrakech at your own pace.
05 · Wednesday, 10 March — YSL Museum & Majorelle Garden
Morning at the iconic YSL Museum and the cobalt-blue Majorelle Garden, then studio time translating the day’s material.
06 · Thursday, 11 March — Koutoubia & Jemaa el Fna
Morning painting near La Koutoubia, then into legendary Jemaa el Fna square — noise, scent, spectacle, snake charmers.
07 · Friday, 12 March — The Souks & farewell dinner
Morning in the Souks — sketching, treasure-hunting, soaking it all in. Farewell dinner with a shared showing of the week’s work.
08 · Saturday, 13 March — Departure
Breakfast at the villa, then private car back to the airport. Departures from late morning onward.

Collage, Sketching
& Photography
Every day is a balance of making and moving. Mornings might begin with a gelli printing session in the studio — pulling marks, building a library of hand-made collage papers textured with Marrakech’s palette of rust, indigo, and ochre. Afternoons take you into the city with a sketchbook and camera, gathering fragments: a carved archway, a bolt of fabric in the souks, the shadow geometry of a riad courtyard.
Photography is woven throughout as a sketchbook tool, not a separate discipline. You’ll learn to photograph with collage in mind — collecting textures, light, and pattern as raw material to bring back to the studio table. All of it feeds the layered mixed-media work Ivy is known for: intuitive, richly textured, and entirely your own.
